Host A Clinic

We like to work with our clinic hosts to find a format that best suits those who will be attending the event.

Learning and applying Horse Speak is nuanced, we want to ensure that you are getting the most out of the experience, therefore, we limit the number of hands-on participants based on the format you choose.

In large part, the horses determine the flow of the clinics, making each clinic a unique experience based on what the horses bring to it.  The key clinic topics will be covered but Sharon does not use a ‘cookie-cutter’ approach; instead, she responds to the individual horses and what they are presenting in the moment.

We prefer to use the facility’s horses during clinics for Sharon’s demonstrations and for clinic participants’ learning and practice.

Clinic Formats

We offer several standard clinic formats and can also customize a clinic to suit your / your horses’ needs (such as clinics for therapy horses and handlers).

Horse Speak Immersion Clinic

4 days, 8 hands-on participants

Sharon will take 8 hands-on participants through all topics from Horse Speak, the Equine-Human Translation Guide

You will be working side by side with Sharon as she unfolds the feel of Horse Speak, giving you the insider’s perspective on horse language and opening the door to your deepest potential as a horse person.

The experience will be like no other, as Sharon brings you into balance within yourself as she gives instruction on horse language. You will be able to take with you tools that can be applied immediately to your horsemanship practice.

The use of horses at the host location is preferred.

The Immersion Clinic is usually offered as private experience for the hands-on participants only (ie, no auditors). If you have other needs, let’s talk.

Typical Day: 9 am to 5 pm / Lunch 12:30 to 1:30

Horse Speak Experience

2-4 days, 8 hands-on participants, auditors welcome

This two-four day clinic is suitable for those with or without previous Horse Speak experience.  We will work with and learn from the horses at the host facility.  Participants will learn what horses value – what is enriching to them – and how to offer them enriching experiences that meet their needs.   The techniques learned apply to all horses.

In large part, the horses determine the flow of the clinic, making each clinic a unique experience based on what the horses bring to it.  The key Horse Speak concepts and skills will be covered but there is not use a ‘cookie-cutter’ approach to the clinic agenda; instead, Sharon and the participants will respond to the individual horses and what they are presenting in the moment.
